SCFProperties Mac App provides:

Thermodynamic Properties for Carbon Dioxide (R. Span and W. Wagner, “A new EOS for CO2 covering the fluid region from the triple-point temperature to 1100 K at Pressures up to 800 MPa,” Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data, vol. 25, pp. 1509–1597, Dec. 1996.) and other fluids in future releases.

Solute Solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide.

  • Using Chrastil’s model for systems without cosolvents (J. Chrastil, “Solubility of Solids and Liquids in Supercritical Gases,” J Phys Chem, vol. 86, pp. 3016–3021, 1982.;  W. Stiver, “Chrastil Revisited for Supercritical Carbon Dioxide” The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, vol. 177, p. 105348, Nov. 2021.)
    • Database of Chrastil parameters for 701 data sets (630 solutes) is included with software.
    • Binary System Data References
  • Using Mendez-Santiago Teja (MST) for systems with cosolvents (J. Mendez-Santiago and A. S. Teja, “Solubility of Solids in Supercritical Fluids:  Consistency of Data and a New Model for Cosolvent Systems,” Ind Eng Chem Res, vol. 39, no. 12, pp. 4767–4771, Dec. 2000.)
    • Database of MST parameters for xx data sets is included with software.
    • Cosolvent System Data References

Fitting Solute Solubility Data in supercritical carbon dioxide.

  • Using Chrastil’s model for binary systems, MST for cosolvent systems, Span & Wagner’s FEOS for density, and a two-pass Nelder Mead algorithm to minimize Absolute Average Relative Deviation (AARD).
